World Teachers' Day and UNESCO-Hamdan Award Ceremony
In 2024, the World Teachers' Day will focus on the theme "Valuing teacher voices: Towards a new social contract for education." This year highlights the pivotal role of teachers and the need to incorporate their perspectives into educational policy and decision-making processes.
The day begins with an opening ceremony led by the Director-General of UNESCO, followed by messages from the ÎçÒ¹°®°®¸£Àû Labour Organization, UNICEF, and Education ÎçÒ¹°®°®¸£Àû. Discussions and activities on enhancing the role of teachers and recognizing their contributions follow.
The event also includes the awarding ceremony of the 8th edition of the UNESCO-Hamdan Prize for Teacher Development and a panel.
