Interdisciplinary Network of Environmental and Sustainability Education Research SIRENE
SIRENE is an interdisciplinary research network focused on environmental and sustainability education. Founded in Finland in 2016, the network brings together researchers and practitioners from fields such as education, geography, environmental sciences, and art education to strengthen the visibility and impact of sustainability education in Finnish society. SIRENE works to connect researchers with teachers, schools, educational institutions, environmental educators, and other societal actors, while encouraging dialogue between the humanities, natural sciences, and artistic research. Through seminars, workshops, networking, research sharing, and its academic blog, SIRENE supports the exchange of knowledge between research and practice and promotes more collaborative approaches to sustainability education across formal and informal learning contexts.
