Sao Paulo State University developed global partnerships including by bringing together researchers from 's Psychology, History, and Social Sciences departments with a team of researchers from (South Africa). The collaboration, funded by the NRF, , and , focuses on the study of violence related to gender and ethnicity. In addition to the research itself, it includes a series of face-to-face meetings in South Africa to exchange experiences on how institutions deal with this violence on their campuses on a day-to-day basis.
