Founded in 1946, the University of Bergen is rooted in the region's rich academic history and thrives as a leading international research university. With around 20,000 students and a staff of approximately 4,000 academic and 1,600 administrative/technical personnel, it offers programs across seven faculties - including Humanities; Law; Mathematics & Natural Sciences; Medicine and Dentistry; Psychology; Social Sciences; and Fine Art, Music & Design.
