UoN Hosts Workshop to Strengthen Student Leadership
In preparation for the 2026/2027 academic year, the University of Nairobi hosted the UNSA 2026/2027 Student Leaders' Induction and Transformational Leadership Workshop, bringing together newly elected student leaders for a capacity-building programme focused on responsible and effective leadership. Held as part of the University's commitment to strengthening student governance and participation, the workshop provided a platform for emerging leaders to develop practical skills in communication, accountability, teamwork, conflict management, and ethical decision-making.
Through interactive discussions, leadership sessions, and engagement with university stakeholders, participants were encouraged to embrace inclusive and transformative approaches to representation. The initiative highlights the University of Nairobi's dedication to nurturing responsible citizens, promoting good governance, and empowering students to contribute positively to campus life and wider society, supporting the values of the Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDGs 4, 16, and 17.
